CARIBOU and FORT FAIRFIELD – Annie R. Lister, 89, wife of the late Forrest G. Lister, died Friday morning, April 21, 2006, at a Caribou nursing facility, following a extended illness. She was born April 9, 1917, at Connor, the daughter of Charles Warren and Sybil May (West) Parker. She attended Caribou schools and was married to Forrest G. Lister on May 23, 1926. A resident of Fort Fairfield for more than 50 years, Annie possessed a special appreciation for music. She was an avid gardener and loved to attend yard and garage sales and became a resident of Caribou in 2001. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lister was predeceased by her husband on Oct. 31, 2000; one son, Forrest L. “Larry” Lister in 1959; and one daughter, Janice Palmer in 1991; two brothers, Dwinal and Charles Parker; two sisters, Addie Holmes and Marjorie Gagnon. Mrs. Lister is survived by three sons, Charles Lister and his fiance, Pat, of Brant Rock, Mass., Wayne Lister and his wife, Lois, of Caribou, Michael Lister and his wife, Jamie, of Cordell, Okla.; one brother, Floyd Parker of Caribou; one sister, Lela Pelkey of Gorham; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. with the Rev. Anna Beach officiating. Interment will take place at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield at a later date. Relatives and friends are invited to share in continued fellowship and refreshments at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield, immediately following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Lister to the Caribou Nursing Home, 10 Bernadette St., Caribou, ME 04736. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
