LAMONI, Iowa – Our beloved Aunt Mildred died Feb. 8, 2006, at her home in Iowa. She was born Nov. 1, 1915, in Alton, to Jennie (Hatch) and Alvin LeForest Judkins. She graduated from George Stevens Academy in 1934 and the Portland School of Nursing in 1940. After working in area hospitals she joined the army in the fall of 1942, serving the European Theater, for four years. She married in 1956, and remained in Iowa until her death. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth; a sister, Ruby Galen; two brothers, William and Delmont Judkins. She is survived by a niece, Bonnie and Loren Hutchinson; a nephew, David and Sally Judkins; sister-in-law, Doris Judkins, all of Penobscot; and several great and great-great-nieces and great and great-great-nephews in the local area and out of state. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. May 7, at the Hillside Cemetery in North Penobscot.
