BREWER and BANGOR Ardis A. Joslyn, wife of the late Russell Joslyn, died June 12, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born in Weston, the daughter of Harry and Mary (Reed) Gellerson. Surviving are two daughters, Elaine Goss and her husband, Donald, of Holden, and Trella Girroir of Newport; two sons, Malcolm Joslyn of Middleton, R.I., and Donald Joslyn and his wife, Carol, of Port Orange, Fla.; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Aura Robinson of Westbrook, Stella Smith of Elliott, Olive Burleigh of Bolton, Conn., Phyllis Clark of Glenburn; one brother, Ronald “Bud” Gellerson of Holiday, Fla.; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ardis was predeceased by five sisters, Violet Dunham, Ione Smith, Nina Carbone, Doris Fitz and Freda Rose; one daughter, Jane Lawson; grandson, Jay Lawson; great-granddaughter, Meagan Girroir; son-in-law, Ray Girroir; daughter-in-law, Betty Joslyn; and a special friend, Frank Boynton. Ardis was an amazing lady and will be greatly missed by her large loving family and many wonderful friends. Her family offers a special thank you to St. Joseph Hospital and Brewer Rehab for all their care, love and compassion. Friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Gregory Dubois, pastor of the Glenburn Evangelical Covenant Church, officiating. Burial will be at Harts Corner Cemetery, Holden.
