PENOBSCOT and ORLAND – Arlene Estelle Harriman Wescott, 91, peacefully passed away Jan. 12, 2004, at Penobscot Valley Hospital in Lincoln. She was born April 1, 1912, in North Penobscot, the daughter of Henry Isaac and Mary Elizabeth (Sphere) Harriman. Arlene was predeceased by her husband, Philip Howard Wescott, April 13, 1991, after 55 years of marriage. She is survived two children, Mary E. Seavey and her husband, Forrest, of Winn, and Wade C. Wescott and his wife, Maryann, of Penobscot; grandchildren, Maili E. Payne and her husband, Charles, of Brunswick, Mark I. Seavey and his wife, Angel, of Westbrook, Sean P. Wescott and his wife, Sean, of Mariaville, Joanne Marino and her husband, Joseph, of Mashpee, Mass., Robin Wescott of Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Susan and Sarah Payne of Brunswick, Shane and Brayeden Wescott of Mariaville, Steven, Christopher, Isabella, Dorothy and Angelina Marino of Mashpee, Mass.; nephews and niece, James Harriman and his wife, Paulette, of Whitman, Mass., Peter Harriman and his wife, Joyce, of Brockton, Mass., Gail Harriman of Virginia; great-nephews and nieces, Jeff and Matthew Chamberlain, James and Bonnie Harriman, and Daniel Harriman. Arlene was blessed with one last, great hoorah of her 91 years in N. Fort Myers, Fla., for the Christmas holidays with her loving daughter and her family.
