FORT KENT and LEWISTON – Arlene (Thibeault) Babin Spugnardi, 75, passed away Jan. 29, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer on the 34th anniversary of the death of her beloved husband, Lionel Babin. She was born March 9, 1931, the daughter of Walter and Leona (Pelletier) Thibeault. She was a loving wife and mother, stepmother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Arlene was a great cook and seamstress and loved to dance. She worked as a clerk for W.T. Grants, Fort Kent, for many years and also Ward Bros., Lewiston, until her retirement. Arlene was predeceased by her first husband, Lionel Babin; a daughter, Mae Ann Babin; her second husband, George Spugnardi; one brother, Holland Thibeault and her parents. She is survived by her children, Norma Robichaud and her husband, John, of Wallagrass, John Babin and his wife, Ann, of St. Agatha and Steven Babin and his wife, Chris, of Coco Beach, Fla.; her grandchildren, Jessica Audibert, Tonia Kent, Olivia Deschaine, Joshua Babin and Dillan Babin; and great-grandchildren, Lucas and Morgan Audibert and Dawson Deschaine. She is also survived by four brothers, Irvin, Robert and Ward Thibeault, all of Madawaska and Reynold Thibeault of St. Agatha; four sisters, Madeline Dionne of Bangor, Sally Martin of Oklahoma and Nancy Beaulieu and Joan Sirois, both of Madawaska. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Friends may call 8 a.m. Thursday until time of services at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Burial will be held May 11. Those who wish, may donate in her memory to the Edgar J.
