BANGOR and SEARSPORT – Arline R. Merry, 86, died Dec. 12, 2005, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born Feb. 26, 1919, in Palmyra, the daughter of Leo E. and Louise (Haskell) Randall. Arline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. In addition to her birth mother, her parents, Leo E. and Phyllis (Hamilton) Randall, she was predeceased by brothers, Dennis, Leo M., Vinal Randall; a sister, Joan Hill, father of her son, Philip Rogerson; and her loving husband of 35 years, John H. Merry Sr. She is survived by their combined families; her son, Dale Rogerson and wife, Ruth, of Madera, Calif.; stepchildren, Ervin Merry and wife, Faustina, Ina Moulton, Millie Sylvester and husband, Lloyd, Ruthie Robbins, Marie Updahl, Barbara Nickerson, Delores and Hazel Merry; brothers, Wendall Randall and wife, Charlene, Donald Randall and wife, Elizabeth and Robert Randall and wife, Blanche; sisters, Virginia Bragdon, Marilyn Hill, Carol Munson and husband, Carroll; uncle, Earle Randall and wife, Elizabeth; aunt, Elsie Holley; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visiting hours will be held 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, followed by a funeral service conducted by the Rev. Ronnie Libby, pastor of Souls Harbor Ministries, officiating. Interment will be in the spring at Charleston Village Cemetery, Charleston.
