LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – Dorothy Bridges Richardson, 87, of Lexington Park, Md., formerly of Sanford and Vista, Calif., passed away peacefully Dec. 4, 2005. She was born Sept. 10, 1918, in Parkman, to Roy and Elise Currier Whitney. She was the wife of the late Philip Bridges for 55 years and Ralph Richardson for three years. She is survived by her husband, two granddaughters, Carolyn Graessle of California, Md. and Diana Daily of Lathrop, Calif.; grandson, Benjamin Vernon of Sanford; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her nephew, Roger Whitney of Alna; and niece, Laureleen Damon of Dover-Foxcroft and their children. She was predeceased by her brother, Alden Whitney; her daughter, Judith Smith; and her son, Alan Bridges. A memorial service will be Monday, Dec. 19, at Patuxent Presbyterian Church, 23251 Kingston Creek Rd., California, Md. Internment will take place at a later date in San Diego, Calif. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to the Patuxent Presbyterian Church Building in Faith Fund, 23251 Kingston Creek Rd., California, MD, 20619.
