NEW YORK and MILLINOCKET – Armando D. DiMarco died May 16, 2006, at Calvary Hospital in New York. He was born Jan. 4, 1927, in Millinocket, the son of Berardino and Angelina (Cianchette) DiMarco. He was a graduate of Stearns High School in Millinocket, Ricker Jr. College and Wentworth Institute in Cambridge, Mass. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Italy. He was employed by Western Electric until his retirement. He was a member of St. Martin of Tours Council No. 680, Knights of Columbus in Millinocket. Surviving besides his wife, Joan; are three daughters, Debby and her husband, Edward Buenaga, of Cornelius, N.C., Diedra and her husband, Joseph McPadden, of Yardley, Pa. and Wendy and her husband, Eric Connuck, of Yardley, Pa.; six grandchildren, Kaitlin and Allison Buenaga, Tisa and Fiona McPadden and Marc and David Connuck; three sisters, Carmela Hikel, Pauline and her husband, John Swanson, all of Millinocket and Josephine and her husband, Frank Coleman, of Eugene, Ore.; two brothers, Dennis DiMarco of Princeton, W.V. and Asperino DiMarco and his wife, Sally, of Hampden. He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Peter. Funeral services were held Friday, May 19, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in New York City, N.Y. Burial was at Calverton National Cemetery, Long Island, N.Y.
