EAGLE LAKE and SOLDIER POND – Emma (Labbe) Blanchette, 94, died May 18, 2006, at an Eagle Lake healthcare facility. She was born Feb. 22, 1912, in Wallagrass, the daughter of Aime and Flavie (Albert) Labbe. Emma was a member of Union St. Jean Baptist and the Ladies of St. Anne, both of Wallagrass. Emma was a seamstress and enjoyed knitting and crocheting, she also loved spending time in her flower garden. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Joan T. Sylvain and son-in-law, Albert “Leonard” Sylvain, whom she loved as her son, both of Fort Kent; two special in-laws, Lorreen Ouellette of Plainville, Conn. and Raoul Blanchette of New Britian, Conn. In addition to both parents she was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Blanchette in 1970; and two sisters, Celina Corriveau and Melida Labbe. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home Friday 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. until time of departure for Soldier Pond. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Soldier Pond. Committal services will follow in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Wallagrass.
