HOULTON – Clara C. Huggard, 93, died May 22, 2006, at a local healthcare facility. She was born Oct. 25, 1912, in Littleton, the daughter of Stephen and Blanche (Brown) Crane. Clara was a member of the First Baptist Church, a 50-year member of the Rebekahs, a member of the True Blue Class, and a member of the Odd Fellows Ladies bowling league. She was an accomplished knitter and crafter. Clara is survived by three daughters, Maville Ford of Weston, Margaret Huggard of Monticello, Nancy Shoppe of Norway; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn Harris, Lois Geiger and her husband, Skip, all of Houlton, Patsy Clark and her husband, George, of Oakfield; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred; her daughter, Phyllis Jellison; sisters, Pansy Crane, Goldie Scully, Nola Webber, and Mae Lezotte; brothers, Harry Crane, Milton Crane, Edward Crane, Gordon Crane, and Oscar Crane. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Johnstone officiating.
