CARIBOU and LIMESTONE Arnold R. Bubar Sr., 65, went home to be with his Lord April 25, 2008, in Caribou, with his loving son by his side. He was born April 23, 1943, in Caribou, the son of the late Ambrose and Lucy (Farley) Bubar. Arnold was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, who was always there for his family, whether it was a hand rebuilding his son’s garage after a fire or a simple phone call to say “I love you a million times.” He and his son spent many days junking and hauling cars. Arnold knew that his money was limited, yet he taught his family that although you may not have much, you will always have your family and in that sense, Arnold died a rich man. In his last days, he would reach out his arms and kiss your cheek and say “I love you.” He is survived by his children, Arnold Bubar Jr. and his wife, Sandra, of Woodland, Bonnie Bubar and Melissa Ouellette and her husband, Gary, all of Caribou; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Tressa and James Caldwell of Caswell, and Betty and Dan Arnold of Gray; one brother, Melvin Bubar of Caribou; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and many friends at Limestone Manor, which he called home for the past eight years. He was predeceased by his wife, Bonnie (Trott) Bubar; one sister, Ivy Hebert; and four brothers, George, Ralph, Ambrose and Ivan. Friends may call noon until time of services which will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, with the Rev. Robert Amuzzini officiating.
