MILFORD – Arthur A. Lawson, 59, died peacefully Oct. 23, 2006, with his family by his side at the home of his life-long friend and companion, Norberta Butler. He was born Nov. 9, 1946, in Ellsworth, the son of Gardner E. and Carol D. (Graves) Lawson. Arthur loved hunting, fishing, and cooking and was the recent owner of Art’s Place, Milford. Arthur resided in Minnesota for many years with his wife, Lillian and moved to Arizona for several years before returning to Maine after Lillian’s death. He is survived by three sons, Kristian M. Lawson of Bangor, Shawn A. Lawson Sr. and his wife, Danielle, of Bradford and Corey Carr of Milford; two grandchildren, Shawn Jr. and Breanna Lawson; five stepchildren, numerous step-grandchildren; a sister, Dora Davis and her husband, Edwin, of Pembroke; a brother, Raymond Lawson and his wife, Roxanne, of Rockport; close special friends, Tom and Dixie Richards of Arizona; lifelong friends, John and Betty Violette; several nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering and celebration of Arthur’s life will begin 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the American Legion Hall, Old Town. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
