NASHUA, N.H. – Madaline D. (Danforth) Allen, 100, formerly of Bangor, passed away Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, at her home. She was born in Bangor, Aug. 6, 1906, a daughter of the late Fred and Effie (Heal) Danforth. Prior to moving to Nashua, N.H., 20 years ago, she had spent her whole life in Bangor. She was the wife of the late John E. Allen in 1967. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Allen was employed by Pierce White and Diamond, an investment and financial service company. In her younger years, she had been employed by Orono Pulp and Paper Co., The Merrill Trust Co. and Fay and Scott of Dexter, in various capacities. She was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist of Bangor. She was educated in Bangor and was a graduate of Gilman’s School of Accounting, Bangor. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Donald Perkins of Nashua, N.H.; three grandchildren, Scott Perkins of Boston, Hillary Gagnon and her husband, Erik, of Phoenix and MarcyKate Perkins of Nashua, N.H.; a great-grandson, Brady Gagnon of Phoenix; and a sister and brother-in-law, Rose Mary and Gratton Allen of Phoenix; her nephews and their spouses, Michael and Patricia MacDougall of Danforth, Eric MacDougall and his wife, Julie Byther of Denver, Dr. Robin MacDougall, M.D. of Phoenix, David and Belinda MacDougall of Buckeye, Ariz.
