OSBORN – Arthur Clifford Stevens, 57, died Nov. 4, 2005, unexpectedly as the result of an accident in Eastbrook. He was born Jan. 20, 1948, in Ellsworth, the son of Chester R. and Mary D. (Hill) Stevens. Arthur was a graduate of Ellsworth High School in 1966. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and a past member of the Masonic Lodge of Sullivan. He is survived by a daughter Robyn Ouellette, of Levant; a brother, Allen Stevens, of Hancock; three sisters, Wanda Axtell and husband, Harold, of Rockland, Elaine Keyes and husband, Richard, of Webster, Mass. and Linda Beal and husband, Everett, of Ellsworth; two granddaughters, Ashley and Hope Ouellette; an uncle, Donald Hill and wife, Ann; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a special friend, his dog Homer. He will also be remembered by his many friends. Friends are invited to visit with Arthur’s family 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth. Services will be private. Those who desire may make contributions in Arthur’s memory to a fund for his granddaughter’s that has been established at Bangor Hydro-Electric Federal Credit Union, 193 Broad St., Bangor ME 04401.
