BUCKSPORT – Arthur H. Davis, 58, died unexpectedly Nov. 9, 2006, at his home. He was born June 21, 1948, in Oahu, Hawaii, the oldest son of Harold and Theresa (Meredith) Davis. Growing up in an Air Force family, he lived in several different states and countries, until his father retired and settled in Bangor, where he graduated from Bangor High School. He recently retired from International Paper after 30 years to pursue a career as a truck drive. He was an avid motorcyclist; he enjoyed nature and animals. One of his pastimes was live trapping pest animals and releasing them into their natural environment. He is survived by five sons, Tracey and his wife, Jacki, of Westminister, Mass., Trevor and his wife, Debra, of Clinton, Mass., Brian of Leominster, Mass., Matthew and his wife, Christy, of Dedham and Kyley of Bucksport; grandchildren, Ashley, Nicholas, Shannon, Taylor, Connor and Aiden Davis; brothers and sisters, Roger and Jackie Davis, Chris and Joe Partridge, Coleen and Brian Smith, Kirk Davis, Steve and Carla Davis, Tim Davis, Vicki and David Woods, Kevin Davis, Tom Davis, D’Arcy and Ralph Libby, Mike Davis, Cathy and John Forker, Karen and Jay Darling, Keith and Shelley Davis; many nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Beth Davis of Bangor. He was predeceased by his parents; and one brother, Phil Davis. Relatives and friends may call 5-8 p.m. Monday at Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Very Rev. Richard C. McLaughlin, pastor of St. John’s Catholic Church, officiating. Private interment will be at Riverview Cemetery, Bucksport.
