CROUSEVILLE – Arvard Eldridge Crouse, 95, died Feb. 2, 2006, at his home on the Cross Road in Crouseville, where he had lived his entire life. He was born Jan. 11, 1911, to Arthur and Serena (Corliss) Crouse at their home on the Cross Road. Arvard was one of several generations in his family that were farmers. He was married to Janice (Sherwood) Crouse for nearly 45 years, prior to her death in 1984. He was also predeceased by his parents, his siblings, a daughter, Deborah Ann; and a great-granddaughter, Deborah Ann Creasey. He is survived by his two daughters and their husbands, Autumn and Dixon Creasey of Crouseville, Helen and William Hause of Caribou; five grandsons, Dixon Creasey Jr. and his friend, Mary Ann Smeeks, of Aurora, Ind., Arvard Creasey, Tony and Angela Creasey of Salem, Ore., Dan and Dapheen Creasey of Presque Isle and Dion Creasey of Connor; and five great-grandchildren, Erik and Dan Creasey, Sonja Creasey, Michelle Creasey and Kayla Creasey. At his request there will be no funeral or visiting hours. There will be a graveside service in the spring. Donations in his memory may be made to the Salmon Brook Historical Society in Washburn or the Handicap Accessibility fund at the Crouseville Community Advent Christian Church. He was a member of the Salmon Brook Historical Society of Washburn and the Crouseville Community Advent Christian Church. Arrangements are in the care of the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
