LARGO, Fla. – Carlton C. Harvey, 75, of Largo, Fla., previously of Gardiner, died Jan. 30, 2006, at Woodside Hospice House in Pinellas Park. He was born in Guilford and moved to Florida in 1993, after retiring from Bath Iron Works, Bath. He was a licensed funeral director in Guilford, at Harvey and Harvey Funeral Home. He graduated from Kents Hill Preparatory School, Kents Hill and the New England Institute of Anatomy and Embalming in Boston, Mass. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, member of the American Legion Post 273 at Madeira Beach, Fla. and former master of Masonic Lodge 109 in Guilford and a member of Oakhurst United Methodist Church Seminole. He was employed for several years at Pinecrest Golf Course in Largo, Fla. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Peggy; two daughters, Elizabeth Hersom of Pittston, and Marie Harvey of North Redington Beach, Fla.; a son, Carlton of Coram, N.Y.; four grandchildren: Jason Hersom and Joseph Hersom of Gardiner; a granddaughter, Caitlin Harvey; and grandson, Connor Harvey of Coram, N.Y. Burial will be at the Veteran’s Cemetery, Augusta, in the spring.
