HOWLAND – Ashlee was gently lifted by the “wind beneath my wings” Sunday night, Dec. 26, 2004. She was born Nov. 26, 1983, in Lincoln, the daughter of Joseph and Diane (Young) Dunn. She was a graduate of Penobscot Valley High School and Empire Beauty School in Portsmouth, N.H. She loved to travel. Ashlee always put others before herself, and will be sadly missed by countless friends. But her life will live on because she was an organ donor. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers, Ryan Dunn and his special friend, Fran Tracy, and Joseph Dunn Jr.; grandparents, Millie Dunn and Polly and Abner Young, all of Howland; aunts and uncles, John and Earlene Young of Lincoln, Judi and Rick Thompson, Abner Young and Debbie, and James Young, all of Howland, Carl and Maryanne Smith of Newport, and Christopher and Susan Dunn of Glenburn; God parents, Stephanie and Joseph Mooney of Hampden; several cousins and her favorite dog, “Maggie.” She was predeceased by her grandfather, George Dunn. Visitation will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Leo Catholic Church, with the Rev. Andre Houle presiding. Interment will be in Howland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a scholarship in her memory at Penobscot Valley High School. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
