AUSTIN V. FELT HOULTON – Austin V. Felt, 100, died March 23, 2008, at his daughter, Nancy’s residence, where he had lived for the past 11 years. He was born Dec. 16, 1907, in Mommouth, Ill., the son of Harley V. and Nancy A. (Colledge) Felt. Austin was born and raised on the family farm in Illinois. He worked as plant manager of Western Electric, Chicago, for many years. After his retirement, he served on the board of directors for Lucient. He is survived by his children, Dr. James Felt of Lafayette, Calif., Nancy Snyder of Houlton, Elizabeth Nelson of Charlottesville, Va., and Mary Grogan of Des Plaines, Ill.; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Ethel Felt. Graveside services will be held in Des Plaines, Ill., at a later date. A service of Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.
