MATTAWAMKEAG – Avis M. Boyce, 87, died Feb. 15, 2008, at a Lincoln nursing home. She was born Aug. 5, 1920, in Monticello, the daughter of Mert and Mandy (Bulley) Hothan. Avis loved being with her family. She also loved to do crafts and crocheting. She is survived by a son, Lloyd Boyce and his wife, Cheryl; and a daughter, Nina Wortman, all of Macwahoc; two grandsons, one granddaughter, one brother, one sister; and by two very close friends, Dwight Osgood and Tammy Osgood. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilmont Boyce. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Macwahoc Cemetery. Those who wish may donate in Avis’s memory to a charity of choice.
