WARREN – B. Joan Strout, 76, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Shore Village Nursing Center, Rockland. She was born Oct. 19, 1930, in the town of Cherryfield, a daughter of Fred and Lydia (Willy) Farnsworth. “Jo” received her elementary and secondary education at Cherryfield Academy. She attended a nursing program at Eastern Maine General Hospital, Bangor and graduated as a registered nurse in 1951. She was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert Strout; and by a grandson, Jacob Strout. She is survived by five sons, Jonathan Strout of Thomaston, David Strout of Warren, Fred Strout of Warren, Mark Strout of Lake Worth, Fla., Paul Strout of Warren; seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A time of visitation for friends and family will be held 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at Hall & Bibber Funeral Home, 78 Main St., Thomaston. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, at Warren Baptist Church with the Rev. William Meader officiating. Burial will be at Pleasantville Cemetery, Warren, in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Maine Multiple Sclerosis Foundation of Maine, P.O. Box 8730, Portland, ME 04104.
