EASTBROOK – Barbara Ann “Barb” Humphrey, 75, died March 7, 2007, at her residence. She was born Sept. 25, 1931, in Tremont, the daughter of Ernest and Mertie (Latty) Murphy. Barb worked many years at Dickens Farms as a field boss in the blueberry fields and in the wreath business. She enjoyed camping, hunting and going to yard sales. She loved her beloved dogs, Foxie and Moxie. She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Irving W. Humphrey; sons, Alfred Kelley and wife, Betty, of Tremont, James Kelley of Eastbrook, David Kelley and wife, Rita, of Bass Harbor, Randy Kelley of Ellsworth; daughters, Irene Schlaefer and husband, David, of Tremont, Barbara “Barbie” Clark of Franklin, Laurie McKenna and husband, Gerry, of Rumford; four other daughters, Ronnette, Penny Jo, Patty Ann and Tammy Lynn; sisters, Sandra Black and husband, David, of Bass Harbor, Jean Freeman, and husband, Douglas, of Somesville, 20 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Honey Seavey; and brother, Ernest Murphy. Calling hours will be held 9-11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at the Church of the Nazarene, 445 High St., Ellsworth, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. with Pastor Reginald Clark officiating.
