CARIBOU – Barbara C. Hewitt, 65, wife of Floyd Hewitt died unexpectedly May 15, 2005, at Caribou. She was born Aug. 27, 1939, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Frank and Laura (Kelly) Devine. Mrs. Hewitt was a graduate of Fort Fairfield High School and was employed for many years by Caribou Growers, Red Ball Potato Co. as well as Guerrette Sales. She married Floyd Hewitt June 20, 1958. Surviving in addition to her husband, Floyd of Caribou; are one son, Floyd Hewitt Jr. of Santa Fe, N.M.; two daughters, Deborah Vicaire of Blaine and Pamela Dubay of Maysville, Tenn.; two sisters, Marion Drost and Phyllis Hewitt, both of Caribou; five grandchildren, Ryan Vicaire, David and Denise Dubay, and Kyle and Katelyn Hewitt; special family friends, David and Donna Cyr and Joyce Wark; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2005, at the Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou, with Pastor Lawrence Beals, officiating. Arrangements by the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou.
