DANFORTH – Barbara E. (Gould) Bickford, 81, went to be with her Lord, May 18, 2007, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born April 7, 1926, in Danforth, the daughter of Archie B. and Myrtle F. (Harris) Gould. Barbara graduated from Danforth High School and retired from the U.S. Postal Service, Danforth. She was a member of the United Baptist Church of Danforth. Barbara was past matron of the Eastern Star. Barbara was well known for her laugh and love of shopping. She really enjoyed the camp at East Grand Lake and her association with Living Waters. She is survived by a son, Terence “Terry” Bickford and his wife, Earlene “Tillie,” of Corinth; a daughter, Brenda Fletcher and her husband, Melvin, of Maryland; a granddaughter, Natalie and her husband, John Stewart; a grandson, Derek Bickford of Farm-ington; two great-grandsons, Matthew and Jacob Stewart of Maryland; siblings, Alta Camp-bell and Glenna Stiles of Milan, N.H., Byron Gould of Danforth, Wilfred Gould of Windsor Locks, Conn., Waldina Gould of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Elizabeth Boardman of Hampden; brother-in-law, Hartley Dwyer of Danforth; four stepgrandchildren, Melvin Jr., Randy, Rodney Fletcher and Karen Hardin; several great-stepgrandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bickford was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Clyde “Bick” Bickford; a sister, Christina “Tina” Dwyer of Danforth; three brothers-in-law, Leland Campbell, Alger Stiles and Vincent Boardman; and a stepgrandson, Ronald Fletcher. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Monday, May 21, at the United Baptist Church of Danforth. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Peter Grenier officiating. After the service friends and family will be meeting at the Weston Grange Hall. Refreshments will be handled by Leland and Mavis Potter.
