ORONO – Barbara Ethel MacCampbell, 90, died Nov. 17, 2007, at her residence. She was born Jan. 26, 1917, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, the daughter of Basil E. and Ethel M. (Grey) Barrett. Barbara worked at the University of Maine in Orono in the library for many years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, James C. MacCampbell; and a brother, Edward Barrett. She is survived by two nieces, a nephew; and dear friends, Barbara and Horace Durkee of Orono and their family. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Riverside Cemetery, Bennoch Road, Orono, with the Rev. Thomas Farley officiating. A service of Brookings-Smith, LaBeau Chapel, Orono.
