DANFORTH – Barbara M. Kinney, 78, of Gardiner Nursing Home, died unexpectedly Jan. 31, 2005. She was born May 26, 1926, in Vanceboro, the daughter of Horace and Dora Beers. She graduated from Vanceboro High School and attended Gorham Normal School for one year. Barbara lived her life making a home for her family in Danforth. She was a member of the Danforth Methodist Church. Barbara worked at East Grand School as a teacher’s aid and in the kitchen. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Kinney in 1993; an infant daughter, Gale; and two brothers. She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Kinney and his wife, Terri, of Augusta, David Kinney and his wife, Debbie, of Danforth and Thomas Kinney and his wife, Anne, of Franklin, Mass.; a sister, Nancy Knox of Woodstock, N.B.; and a brother, Ralph Beers and his wife, Alicia, of Ellsworth; nine grandchildren, one great- grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Thursday, Feb 3, 2005, at the Clay Funeral Home-Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Leon Robinson officiating. Spring interment will be in the family lot at Danforth Cemetery.
