CARIBOU – Barbara S. Hazard, 69, died April 2, 2006, at Bangor. She was born Sept. 23, 1936, in Caribou, the daughter of Merrill and Edith (Cray) True. Barbara was a life member of the Lister-Knowlton Post 9389 VFW Ladies Auxiliary, where she enjoyed working, as well as playing, bingo. Barbara loved crafting, cooking and was a loving, devoted wife and mother. She married Anthony Hazard April 13, 1974. Surviving in addition to her husband of nearly 32 years, Anthony of Caribou, are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard and Patricia Anderson of Sanford and Albert Anderson Jr. of Caribou; three daughters and a son-in-law, Cindy Woo, Carla and Robert Glass, all of Caribou and Merleen White of Calvert County, Md.; one sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Walt Korzinski of Pembroke N.J.; six grandchildren, six great-grand-children, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 11 a.m. Thursday, April 6, until time of services, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. from the funeral home with the Rev. John Palmer, officiating. Interment will be in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery.
