DOVER-FOXCROFT – Barbara Talbot, 78, wife of the late William Henry Talbot, died Feb. 3, 2005, at a local nursing home after a long bout with cancer. She was born Oct. 11, 1926, in Caribou, the daughter of George and Marie (Goode) Drost. She is survived by three sons and respective wives, Lawrence and Dee Mcallister of Bossier City, La., Charles and Teresa Talbot of Abbot, Eric and Tonya Talbot of Northampton, Mass.; two daughters and respective husbands, Carole and Stephen Young of Yarmouth, Amy and Francis Bonaventure of Cape Neddick; two sisters, Leona Mellen of South Portland, Donna Johansen of Saco; 13 grandchildren, Lawren Young, Christopher Bonaventure, Mary Anne Mcallister, Christopher Mcallister, Joshua Talbot, Lucas Talbot, Melissa Talbot, Joseph Baily, Brian Baily, Amber Talbot, Jaylon Talbot, Evan Talbot, and William Talbot; three great-grandchildren, Nita Marie Mcallister, Hannah Campbell, and Makayla Talbot. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald J. Talbot; and a grandson, Michael Talbot. She will be remembered for her great love of flowers which she surrounded herself with and the warm fuzzy blankets her loved ones have to remember her by. Friends are invited to call from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with Pastor Donald Gomes officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot in Blanchard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pine Tree Hospice, 891 West Main Street, Dover-Foxcroft 04426.
