FORT KENT and ST. FRANCIS – Barbara (Thibodeau) Dubois, 50, passed away May 2, 2004, at N.M.M.C. in Fort Kent following a long battle with a tragic illness. She was born Aug. 24, 1953, in St. Francis, the daughter of Elmer and Leola (Dumond) Thibodeau. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and ATV riding. She loved children, caring for them as a foster care parent for many years. Barbara is survived by her husband of 33 years, Lester Dubois of Fort Kent; two sons, Scott and his wife, Pam, of St. John, Lester C. Dubois and his wife, Sherrie, of Terryville, Conn.; two precious beloved grandchildren, Ian and Gabriel Dubois of St. John. She is also survived by her mother, Leola Thibodeau of Fort Kent; and five brothers and one sister, Arnold and his wife, Edi, of Stockholm, Carroll and his wife, Tina, of Fort Kent, Rhonda Bard and her husband, Roland, of Fort Kent, Sheldon and his wife, Linda, of Brewer, Elmer and his wife, Cathy, of Exeter, and Joel and his wife, Sandy, of Fort Kent; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, William Thibodeau, in 1955; and her father, Elmer Thibodeau, in 1999. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday 9 a.m. until time of departure for St. Francis at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Charles Catholic Church in St. Francis, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Committal services will follow in the St. Francis Cemetery.
