TRENTON – Barry Rhodes Smallidge, 22, died unexpectedly Nov. 22, 2005, as the result of an auto accident. He was born Dec. 28, 1982, at Bar Harbor, the son of Arthur C. Smallidge and KayLynn (Dodge) Tolstrup. Barry attended Mount Desert Island High School and Boggy Brook Vocational Tech. He was a member of the Northeast Harbor Masonic Lodge No. 208. Barry especially enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and his dirt bike. He will always be remembered for his love for his family and many friends. Barry is survived by his father, Arthur C. Smallidge and his stepmother, Mary Ann, of Trenton; mother, KayLynn Dodge Tolstrup and his step-father, David, of Panama City, Fla.; brothers, Arthur M. Smallidge of Panama City, Fla., Jeremiah J. Smallidge of Seal Harbor; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Barbara Smallidge of Seal Harbor; maternal grandparents, Robert and Nancy Dodge of Parkman and Doris Dodge of Bangor; stepsisters, Savanna Hudson of Trenton and Julia Tolstrup Mathien of New Haven, Conn.; stepbrothers, Ronald Hudson Jr. of Ellsworth, Christopher Hudson of Ellsworth, Heath Hudson of Hancock; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, with a Masonic service to follow 4 p.m., at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at the funeral home with the Rev. Hermon “Buddy” Franklin officiating.
