ELLSWORTH and SOUTHWEST HARBOR – Beatrice H. “Bee” Brown, 89, died May 11, 2007, at an Ellsworth health care facility. She was the wife of the late D. Curtis Brown. She was born March 18, 1918, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Carl W. and Faith (Dunton) Hedges. Beatrice worked at Mount Desert Island Hospital as a lab technician for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellsworth. Calling hours will be held 8:30-9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 231 Main St., Ellsworth, with Fr. Scott Mower, celebrant. Interment will be at Mount Height Cemetery, Southwest Harbor.
