BRIDGEWATER – Beatrice H. Nickerson 92, wife of the late Arthur Nickerson, died Sept. 5, 2004, at the Maine Veterans Home in Caribou. She was born March 16, 1912, in Monticello, the daughter of Frank and Rena (Hogan) Jewell. She had been a member of the Rebekah Lodge, American Legion Auxiliary and a long time member of the R.S.V.P. Beatrice loved spending time fishing, hunting, picking berries or looking for her favorite animal, the moose. Surviving her are two sons, Richard Nickerson of Presque Isle, Sheridan Nickerson of Caribou; two daughters, Molly White of Bridgewater, Linda Orcutt of Garfield; 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Monticello Village Cemetery with Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating. Those who wish may make donations in her memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 456, Brunswick, ME 04011. Arrangements are in the care of the Duncan Funeral Home, Mars Hill.
