DEXTER – Clarence Cutbush Perkins, 55, died unexpectedly, Sept. 4, 2004, at a Skowhegan Hospital. He was born in Dexter, Oct. 21, 1948, the son of Ellsworth and Eva (Caird) Perkins. Clarence, lovingly referred to as Uncle Beek, spent his entire life in Dexter, farming and woodcutting. He enjoyed hunting, riding his four-wheeler, and story telling with friends and family. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Lewis Perkins. He is survived by a sister, Frances Cookson; two brothers, Ellsworth Perkins and Benjamin and his wife, Diane Perkins, all of Dexter; a sister, Lois and her husband, James Wing, of Garland; loving nieces and nephews, Phyllis (Caird) Lounder, James Wing Jr., Elmer Wing, Joseph Wing, Carl Cobb, Craig McGinley, Eva (Wing) Peach, Bill Cobb, Ben Perkins Jr., and Virginia Perkins; many special great-nieces and great-nephews. He will be remembered by family and friends for the countless times he helped fix anything mechanical or just helping with anything that was needed. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main St., Dexter. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, 1 p.m. Wednesday, with Pastor Barry Buzzell officiating. Burial will be in the Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth.
