Hannaford Supermarkets announced Saturday it was recalling six deli and produce items.

The recall comes after company officials were alerted by a manufacturer that their jalapeno supplier, Coast Citrus Distributors, issued a voluntary broader recall due to possible salmonella contamination.

All impacted products have been removed from store shelves, Hannaford officials said in a statement.

Customers should check their storage areas and freezers for this product and not eat the product. The items may be returned to your local Hannaford for a full refund.
