GUILFORD – Beatrice L. Storer, 86, died March 15, 2008, at a Dexter health care facility. She was born Sept. 4, 1921, in Willimantic, daughter of John and Helen (Smith) Leavitt. She worked for Pratt and Whitney, Connecticut, for several years and later moved back to the Guilford area and worked for Guilford Industries for 30 years. For many years she and her husband, Robert Storer Sr., owned and operated their farm in North Guilford. Bea was predeceased by her husband in 1986. She is survived by two sons, Ralph Storer of Bradford and Robert Storer Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Guilford; two daughters, Evelyn Spack and her husband, Forrest, of Abbot and Rita Tibbetts and her husband, Willis, of Guilford; five sisters, Elsie Goodrich of Abbot, Thelma King of Guilford, Pauline Meyers of Connecticut, Mary Jane Erickson of Monson and Marilyn Gordon of Maryland; a brother, Richard Leavitt of Pennsylvania; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Pearl Woods Brown in 1979. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak St., Guilford, with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating.
