STANLEY O. STROUT HARRINGTON – Stanley O. Strout, 76, died March 14, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 22, 1931, on “Pirates Corner,” Harrington, the son of the late Winslow and Gladys (Grant) Strout. Stanley was a lifetime resident of Harrington. In the 1950s he was a coal passer on the Great Lakes onboard the Powell Stackhouse. He also worked for the Seawards. Most of his life, Stanley cut wood, and dug marine worms and clams. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and following SAD No. 37 sports teams. He became a member of Harrington Baptist Church in 1982. He shared 54 years of marriage with the late Norita Tebo (Tra-cy) Strout, who died in 2005. Family members include two sons, Mark Strout and wife, Cindy, and Gary Strout and his wife, Roxanne, all of Harrington; a daughter, Tracy Redimarker and husband, Robert, of Addison; grandchildren, Brent Redimarker and friend, Lisa, Heather and Frank Thompson, Jeff and April Strout, Stephen and Maria Strout, Hilary and Stephen Oliver, Scott Strout, Holly and David Fraser and Jason Redimarker; great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Spencer, Nathan, Cassandra, Sydney, Hunter, Ashley, Laney, Anna, Evan, Rianne and Allison; siblings, Doris and Frederick Gagne, Richard and Gwen Strout, Irvin and Laura Strout, and Jennie and Carl Ganiel; a brother-in-law, Elliot Tracy; an aunt, Joanna Strout; and a special friend, Prescott “Buddy” Farren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Alice Young; and a granddaughter-in-law, Lindsay Portrie Strout. The family wishes to thank Sunrise Care Facility, Jonepsort, for the excellent care and support that they have provided over the last 15 years. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 22, at Forest Hill Cemetery, Harrington, at a time to be determined.
