EAST BLUE HILL – Beatrice Ruth (Gray) McGraw, 85, died on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, at her East Blue Hill home with her husband and daughter by her side. She was born Feb. 26, 1918, in Blue Hill, the daughter of Herman O. and Annie Estelle (Cook) Gray. She graduated from George Stevens Academy in 1936. Bea was clerk and treasurer of the Blue Hill Memorial Hospital for 15 1/2 years, before retiring in 1980. She was active in the East Blue Hill Library and Village Improvement Associations, and a member of the East Blue Hill Baptist Church. Bea was an avid golfer, and spent winters in Eustis, Fla. with her husband of 65 years, Arnold W. McGraw. She was predeceased by her sister, Marian (Gray) Bowden and her brothers, Herbert and Almerin Gray. In addition to her husband, Arnold, Bea is survived by her daughter, Ellen Healey and son-in-law John Haraz of Grand Island, Fla.; a brother, Howard Gray and his wife, Sylvia, of Stockton Springs, several nieces and nephews, special friends, Dwight and Eileen Webber and Deborah Wiggs and many good friends. A memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, in the Friendship Room at the East Blue Hill Church, Rt. 176, East Blue Hill. Arrangements by Greenlawn Memorial Funeral Home, Bangor.
