OLD TOWN and HOWLAND Marion L. Giovanelli, 80, wife of the late Michael Giovanelli died Feb. 4, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born July 14, 1923, in Old Town, the daughter of David and Eugena (Paradis) Cote. She resided in Westfield, Mass., for 38 years before returning to Old Town and for the last two years has resided in Howland. She was a communicant of Holy Family Parish of Old Town and St. Leo’s Catholic Church of Howland. She is survived by a sister, Rita Rose Sereyko of Howland; sisters-in-law, Joan Cote of Brewer and Mary Ann Cote of Florida; nieces and nephews, Nancy Burgoyne, Brenda White, David Sereyko, Stephen Sereyko, Joseph Cote, Judy Hodgdon, Janet Keefe, Cathy Russell, Sandra Liles, Linda Wolfe, Michele Cote, Betsy Patz, Cindy Eatherton, Robbie Cote, Michael Cote, Clarence and Persis Giovanelli of Westfield, Mass. She was predeceased by her husband and five brothers Lewis, Leo, Romeo, Robert, and Wilfred Cote. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Parish, Old Town. Immediately following the Mass all are invited to the Holy Family Parish Center for continued fellowship and a light luncheon. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Westfield, Mass.
