COLUMBIA – Beatrice Souza, 75, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Feb. 11, 1932, in Fall River, Mass., the daughter of the late John and Mary Oliver. In her younger years, Beatrice worked as a seamstress in several area textile mills in Fall River, Mass., and then became a homemaker. She shared 43 years of marriage with the late Joseph B. Souza, who died April 6, 1995. Family members include two daughters, Joanne Souza and significant other, Danny Grant, of Columbia, and Lillian Phillips and husband, David, of Accord, N.Y.; and a grandson, Eric Fernandes of Highland, N.Y. She was predeceased by a brother, Ernest Oliver, in August 2007. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Milbridge, with a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church, Cherryfield, with Deacon Jim Guillen, celebrant.
