VAN BUREN – Beatrice St. Pierre, 79, died peacefully Dec. 24, 2004, at a Caribou hospital. She was born July 24, 1925, in Woodland, the daughter of Elie and Elodie (Parent) Gagnon. She was the wife of the late Emile St. Pierre who died in 1974. Bea’s greatest pleasures in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a perfect example of teaching love and forgiveness and finding the goodness in everyone, regardless of the circumstances. She was a member of the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal, the Third Order of Mary, the Van Buren Columbiettes, and was also very proud to have lived at Cursillo in Edmundston, N.B. Bea is survived by three daughters, Jacqueline Walsh and her husband, Jim, Pauline Ayotte and her companion, Conrad Perreault, all of Van Buren, Dorothy Lemke and her husband, Don, of Rochester, N.H.; one son, Reno St. Pierre and his wife, Robertine, of Cyr Plantation; a special daughter-in-law, Martine St. Pierre of Gray; two sisters, Eva Ouellette and her husband, Armand, of Van Buren; Florence Dubay of Bristol, Conn.; eight grandchildren, Kim, Shawn, Sandy, Becky, Brandy, Craig, Michelle and Laura; nine great-grandchildren, Bethany, Hailey, Emily, Eddie, Erica, Megan, Kaitlin, Calah, and Abigail. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Richard St. Pierre in 1997, and Emilien St. Pierre in 1943, four infant children; two sisters, Mamie St. Pierre and Winnie Gardner; two brothers, Nelson Gagnon and Clarence Gagnon. Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren, and 9 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Spring interment will be in the parish cemetery.
