ST. AGATHA – Benoit Gervais, 90, died July 20, 2006, surrounded by his family, at a Frenchville nursing home. He was born Feb. 25, 1916, in St. Agatha, the son of Henri and Euphemie (Michaud) Gervais. He served in the Civil Conservation Corp. He was a local painter and carpenter, an avid hunter and sportsman, canoe and boat builder. He is survived by five sons, Robert of St. Petersburg, Fla., Joel and his wife, Sally, of East Hartford, Conn., Norman and his wife, Lise, Roger and his wife, Carol, and Andrew, all of St. Agatha; five daughters and their husbands, Patricia and Peter Flynn of Weathersfield, Conn., Jeannine and Bill O’Neil, Simone and John Guimond, both of Bristol, Conn., Robertine Hall of Bend, Ore., and Benita and Kelly Cummings of Bristol, Conn. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose Ann in May of 2002. Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. Monday until the time of service at the Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Agatha Catholic Church with the Rev. Philip Cyr officiating. Burial will be at the St. Agatha Lower Cemetery.
