LAMBERT LAKE – Bernard C. Devoe, 71, husband of Ella J. (Stover) Devoe, died Dec. 1, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Jan. 24, 1934, in Vanceboro, the son of Barney V. and Mary V. (Trask) Devoe. Bernard worked for the railroad company for 43 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching Nascar every Sunday with Ronnie. He also loved collecting and fixing clocks. He is survived by his wife, Ella; his mother, Mary of Baileyville; three sons, Danny and Michael Devoe of Lambert Lake and Ricky Devoe and his wife, Melanie, of Baileyville; a daughter, Becky Devoe and her friend, Steve Merritt, of Vanceboro; a brother, Robert Devoe and his wife, Liz, of Bangor; a sister, June Bowden of Bangor; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Ethel Spear. He also leaves behind his special cat, Mag.
