BERNETTA M. TRAINOR ATTLEBORO, Mass., and MILLINOCKET – Bernetta Margaret Trainor, 85, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, at the Life Care Center of Attleboro. She was born in Millinocket, one of nine children of Leo and Ella (Walls) McFarlane. She was married to the late Lawrence P. Trainor, celebrating their 49th wedding anniversary, before her husband’s death in 1987. She was the devoted mother of four children, seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Trainor was a life-long resident of Millinocket, and graduated from Stearns High School, Class of 1936. In the spring of 2001, she moved to Attleboro, Mass., to be near her two daughters and their families. Bernetta was devoted to her Catholic faith. She was a communicant of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church and a life-long member of the Daughters of Isabella. Mrs. Trainor was also a member of Francis E. Elliott Post No. 4154 VFW Auxiliary. Mrs. Trainor truly appreciated the scenic beauty of the Katahdin area, and the spirit of her home-town of Millinocket, and it’s people. She took great pride in her many cooking, sewing and craft projects, which she generously shared with family, friends, and local charities. She enjoyed a special relationship with her grandson, David Jr., and will be sadly missed by her many friends and neighbors. She will also be missed by the residents and professional staff at Life Care Center of Attleboro. We will always hold dear our loving memories and celebrate the special kindness that she so willingly shared. She is survived by her daughters, Ellen Pinette and husband, Clayton, of Attleboro, Mass., and Linda Curtis and husband, Butch Curtis, of Mansfield, Mass.; two sons, David Trainor and his wife, Pat, of Millinocket, and Tim Trainor and wife, Stephanie, of Scarborough; four sisters, Mabel Sawyer, Gladys Taylor and Alice Boynton of Millinocket, and Leona Rice of Shrewsbury, Mass.; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Mascetta and Delores McFarlane of Millinocket; her niece, Betty Wheaton of Bangor; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, John; and three sisters, Anna, Pat and Janice. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, where Little Flower Circle Daughters of Isabella will recite the rosary at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church.
