BREWER – Bernice “Bunnie” (Leeman) Kelley, 81, wife of the late Gordon “Bud” Kelley, passed away peacefully, Jan. 30, 2004, at her home. She was a devoted grandmother and mother and will be greatly missed by her family. Surviving are four great-grandchildren, Autumn Rae Marie Skillin, Griffen David Kelley, Molly Lynn McVetty, Michaela Marie McVetty; five grandchildren, Candace Rae Marie Kelley and her fianc_’, Don Skillin, Matthew Gray Kelley, Eric Gordon Kelley, Jennifer Anne Talbot, Tammy Marie Talbot; four children, Dale K. Kelley, Brad D. and his wife, Jeanne Kelley, Brenda J. and her husband, Jim Peters, Stephen C. and his wife, Cathy Talbot; two brothers, Harold B. and his wife, Nina Leeman, Franklin W. Leeman and his companion, Scottie; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Sherrill A. Brown. Bunnie was predeceased by a daughter, Bonita J. Talbot; and a sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and her husband, Herbert Thornton. She was a member of the Lionettes, the Saturday Nighters, The Sunshine Club for Children and a member of the Board of Directors of United Cerebral Palsy. Bunnie was a faithful beano player at both the Bangor Lodge of Elks and the Anah Shriners. For many years she worked with her husband at their insurance company, Northeast Insurance Agency, and in later years was employed with Hobart Insurance. Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, at Brookings-Smith, Clark Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Eric Kelley, nephew and pastor of the Willston West Church, Portland, officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Jonesport.
