HOULTON – Bernice Fitzpatrick, 96, died Monday, June 25, 2007, at Madigan Estates Healthcare Facility. She was born Sept. 11, 1911, in Houlton, the daughter of Ed and Nora (Bagley) McSheffery. Bernice worked on the farm and raised 13 children. She loved her family, cooking, sew-ing and various craft projects. Bernice is survived by four sons, Peter Fitzpatrick and his wife, Earlene, of Somers, Conn., Neal Fitzpatrick of Bangor, Ger-ald Fitzpatrick of Greensboro, N.C., and Donald Fitzpatrick and his wife, Becky, of Aiken, S.C.; two daughters, Florence Lilley of Newport and Doris Gardiner and her husband, John, of Hodgdon; numerous grandchildren and great-grand-children; one sister, Christina Parks of Houlton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Fitzpatrick; six sons, Kenneth, James, William, Herbert, Earl and Milton; and one daughter, Alice. Friends may call 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, June 29, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Houlton, with the Father Eddy Morin, celebrant. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
