MOUNT CHASE – Bertha A. Carver, 90, went home to be with her Lord, Oct. 23, 2005, after a long illness. She was born May 19, 1915, in Mount Chase, the daughter of John and Flossie (Raffard) Willett. She leaves two sons, Donis Carver and his wife, Janice, of Houlton, and their children, Randy, Brenda, Kevin, Daylene and Craig, Peter Carver and his wife, Ronda, of Hersey and their children, Andrew, Andrea, Kelly, Laurie and Stacy; one daughter, Beatrice Boynton of Houlton and her children, Robin, Butch, Rocky, Tracy, and Barbara; 35 great-grandchildren; several great- great-grandchildren; one brother, Herman Willett of Patten; one sister, Ruby Carver of Mount Chase; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Boyd Carver; brothers, Linwood, Truman and Clifford; sisters, Mayvella Heath and Edna Brawn; and a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Pelky Carver. Friends may call 1-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the Patten Pentecostal Church where funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Sam DeWitt officiating. Interment will be in Mount Chase cemetery. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls.
