WATERBURY, Conn., and ST. FRANCIS – Bertile “Bert” Ouellette Walker, 82, died Oct. 7, 2007, at a Waterbury, Conn., hospital. She was born Feb. 19, 1925, in St. Francis, the daughter of Jerry and Odile (Morin) Ouellette. Bertile lived in Caribou for 30 years. She was a communicant of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Caribou, where she was an active member and past president of the Ladies of St. Anne, Caribou. She was also a member of the church choir. She was an active member of the Caribou VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Bertile was employed by Zayres department store for 25 years. Her friends were an enormous blessing for her. She is survived by four sons, James Walker of Terryville, Conn., Dennis Walker of Albany, Vt., David Walker of Watertown, Conn., and Larry Walker of Bristol, Conn.; a loving daughter, Marie Carusillo of Waterbury, Conn.; one brother, Ervin Ouellette of St. Francis; three sisters, Dorilla Ouellette and Monica Jandreau, both of St. Francis and Joan Keaton of Caribou; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Francis, with Father Ouellette officiating.
