PITTSFIELD – Beryl H. Skivington, 98, died May 10, 2008, at a Pittsfield health care center. She was born Feb. 4, 1910, in Chicago, the daughter of Charles and Maude (Bachelder) Krutckoff. Beryl worked and retired as an editor with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and was a former vestryman of St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church, both in New York City. She then moved to Charleston, S.C., where she lived for 15 years, and was a member and vice president of Triumph Republican Club, until moving to Pittsfield, in 1999. She was, at the time of her death, a member in good standing of First Congregational Church, Pittsfiled. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Drummond of Pittsfield; a sister-in-law, Jolena Randolph; a brother-in-law, Gene Randolph, both of Memphis, Tenn.; and three nephews, Rex, Chris and Adam Randolph. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 6, at First Congregational Church, Somerset Avenue, Pittsfield.
