MARS HILL – Beth I. Cray, 68, died May 7, 2004, at a Mars Hill healthcare facility. She was born Nov. 26, 1935, in Plaster Rock, New Brunswick, the daughter of Harry and Greta (Lockhart) Brown. Beth was a homemaker for many years and was a wonderful wife and mother to her husband, Gerald and five children. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Hubble Cray Sr. of 48 years; two sons, Gerald Jr. and Lee, both of Mars Hill; three daughters, Sabrina Sheehan of Mars Hill, Shelena Cray of Mars Hill, Nola Belanger and her husband, Lewis, of Caribou; 10 grandchildren, Crystal York and her husband, Acil, Michelle Giroux and her boyfriend, Matthew Richard, Mark Sheehan Jr., Tadd Sheehan and his girlfriend, Donna, Joseph Sheehan and his wife, Jennifer, Melissa Cray, Amanda, Joshua, and Jessica Belanger, Jeremy Cray; eight great-grandchildren, Tiffany York, Katelyn York, Kevin York, Mariah Sheehan, Tasha Sheehan, Mercedes Sheehan, Zian Richard, Marissa Sheehan; two brothers, Douglas Brown and his family, and Leonard Brown. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Clayton and Willis Brown; and a sister, Ann Decarr. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2004, at the Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill, with the Rev. Mark Hartley officiating. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Kings Grove Cemetery.
