BUCKSPORT and NEWCASTLE Mildred “Dot” (McKay) Ridell, 89, died May 7, 2004, at Miles Memorial Hospital, Damariscotta. She was born March 15, 1915, in Winter Harbor. Dot was the daughter of Edith (Hutchins) and Ralph McKay. She and her late husband, Albert, spent 25 years in Florida following their retirement. Dot was predeceased by her sister, Lillian Dorr; and her brother, Theodore McKay. Dot is survived by three daughters, Peggy Clements and her husband, Roy, of Orland, and the Villages, Fla. Mickey Chasse and her husband, Fred, of South Bristol, Genie Lindsay and her husband, Maurice, of South Bristol, and The Villages, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Cathy Crosby, of Belmont, Kelly Grindle of Brooksville, Michele Raymond of Bucksport, Kenneth Chasse, of Stratham, N.H., Alyson Rehwinkel of Fairport, N.Y., Terry Lindsay Hamel of Loudon, N.H., Alan Lindsay of Pembroke, N.H., Michael Lindsay of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Eileen Eaton of Bucksport; several nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2004, at the Mitchell Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bucksport, with Father Richard Lembo officiating.
